Lesley has been with Sonus Hearing Care Professionals for 2 years and began working in the field of speech and hearing pathology in 2010. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Auditory Pathology. In addition to completing a practicum at East Carolina's Speech and Hearing Clinic, Lesley participated in numerous volunteer research projects with the audiology lab. She is a proud graduate of her alma mater - Go Pirates! Originally a small town, Southern girl, Lesley moved to California six years ago to begin her Master's work at California State University, Long Beach and obtained her Speech Language Pathology Assistant certification from California State University, Northridge. During this time she worked as a behavioral therapist for children, ages 3-17, with autism and other developmental delays. It was her work with a young girl with hearing aids that eventually inspired Lesley to explore the other side of her degree - hearing. The most fascinating part of this field for Lesley is finding ways to help others, while learning more about the rapidly growing technology that is being developed to assist patients with hearing concerns. Outside of the office, Lesley enjoys spending time with her husband, Zak, and her one-year-old daughter, Marley.
